Rather than users of the Advertising Unit entering advertisement requests into the system, one existing user has set up a web-based template, run over their intranet, which allows clients to complete a web-based form, specifying the advertisement details. They then click on the Submit button, and the information is sent directly to the Diamond system. An example screen is shown here.
If this was extended to the Council's website, any outlying schools or other clients would be able to enter their own advertisements via the internet. The staff in the Advertising Unit may need to check the information entered (although the web page can perform certain validations), but the process can be streamlined.

In addition, any acknowledgements (to the originating client) or orders (to the media) can be sent by email directly from the system at the click of a button.
